ABOUT MIRM
Modern Information Resources Management (MIRM) (Print ISSN: 3136-165X; Online ISSN: 3136-1668) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Hong Kong Information Education Publishing Company Limited. MIRM publishes two issues each year in both Chinese and English.
Scope and Topics
Modern Information Resources Management (MIRM) is committed to advancing research on the innovative development and practical application of modern information resources management, and to exploring the theoretical, methodological, and practical foundations of this discipline. It encompasses a wide and in-depth range of topics, including but not limited to: basic theories of information resources management; information resources planning and construction; information policies, laws and ethical norms; information collection, classification and organization; information quality evaluation and resource optimization; information retrieval, dissemination and user service; information preservation and long-term access technology; specialized information resource management; information resource compilation and value development; information management education and talent training; digital information resources and intelligent management; information datafication and full-cycle data governance; artificial intelligence and intelligent information resource service; digital resource preservation and information heritage inheritance; modern information governance system and capacity construction; public service information and livelihood information resources; enterprise information resources and business knowledge management; blockchain technology and information resource security and credibility; as well as pedagogical exploration and disciplinary construction of modern information resources management. The journal advocates an interdisciplinary research perspective and adheres to international academic standards. It does not establish fixed sections in advance and welcomes scholarly contributions addressing the above themes (without being limited to them). To reflect ongoing academic developments in a timely manner, the journal also accepts, on a rolling basis, interviews with leading scholars and academic book reviews in the field of modern information resources management. The format and stylistic requirements for such submissions are the same as those for research articles.
Open Access Policy
MIRM is a fully open access journal that provides immediate and permanent free access to all published content for all users worldwide without requiring any article processing charges (APCs) or subscription fees. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, allowing unrestricted sharing, distribution, and reuse with proper attribution. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal publishing rights. We support responsible scholarly sharing by permitting authors to deposit preprints in any repository without embargo and postprints immediately upon publication. This sustainable model maintains the highest standards of peer review and editorial quality while eliminating financial barriers to knowledge dissemination.
